The Pixies ready worldwide tour
Despite the departure of longtime bassist Kim Deal, The Pixies are continuing full steam ahead with the release of their first record in 22 years and a worldwide tour that takes them to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, N.Y. on Sunday, Jan. 19 and the Shubert Theatre in New Haven on Wednesday, Jan. 22.

The announcement of the 33-city jaunt comes on the heels of the release of “EP-1,” a four-song release recorded without Deal, who split from The Pixies earlier this summer. Deal was later replaced by The Muffs’ Kim Shattuck.
